‘HAPPY VALENTINE’ – A free Magic MeadowTM short story for kids
Read the free short story for kids here on my blog
Life isn’t always easy for those growing up which is why I used the theme of Valentine’s Day to write a free short story for kids between 7 to 11 years featuring my characters from the Adventures of Francesca Spaghetti and Poppy Noodle in the Magic Meadow series.
In this story I got to round out some of the character of my heroes, Francesca Spaghetti and Poppy Noodle as well as show his they relate to their class friends and rivals.
They’re still young kids so understanding emotions, belonging and confidence are confusing but, without labouring the point, I hope that I was able to get across some simple but positive messages in a fun, surprising and entertaining way.
The reading age has perhaps gone up a grade from previous stories but I hope, perhaps with some parental or teacher guidance even the younger children will find this to be an entertaining and fun kids’ book.
If you’re not familiar with the series, I do hope that this brief contact with Francesca Spaghetti’s and Poppy Noodle’s world will inspire you to find out more. On this site you can find out more about the books as well as read a free long extract from each of the two published titles so far. Click on the ‘My Books’ item in the side menu to access these. You will also find handy links to Amazon should you decide the buy the books yourselves and get into the adventure.
I hope you and your kids enjoy the short story, Happy Valentine. Access it from the link below.
