About the Book Series and The Magic MeadowTM


Francesca Spaghetti and Poppy Noodle are two ordinary twin girls who are granted some amazing and unique Magic Powers when they visit the Magic Meadow – a wacky and unpredictable place where literally anything can happen. There they meet the fairy Flora who becomes a guide for the girls as well as a flying unicorn called Lady Quicksilver who can take the girls anywhere they want to go in the blink of an eye.

​In the books Magic ‘chooses‘ the girls for challenging missions to help other who are in difficulty and – overcoming their own anxiousness and self-doubts – they do their very best in what are sometimes very dangerous circumstances. Their rare and unusual Magic Powers – as well as being awesome in themselves – come in very handy when they find themselves in danger and have even saved their lives!

As well as being funny, upbeat and exciting adventure stories in their own right, each storybook contains specific, underlying, subtle, moral and empowering themes for young people without preaching or lecturing.

In this first adventure the girls find themselves selected by Magic to help Patty who lives on Coconut Island in the middle of an idyllic, turquoise tropical sea.

Patty’s father has been kidnapped by a fierce pirate called Big Beard who wants to rob them of their family treasure. 

Overcoming their fear at the prospect of encountering this fierce bully the twins fly to Coconut Island on the back of Lady Quicksilver and then begins a tale full of unexpected twists and turns, good humor and personal discovery.

While eating ice cream in Mrs Bloom’s ice cream parlor one cold, snowy day,  the twins receive a Magical message from Santa. 

Someone is sabotaging Christmas and if Santa and his elves don’t get any help soon, Christmas will be cancelled. 

Using an ingenious if old-fashioned way of getting in touch with Santa, the girls find themselves at the North Pole where time is running out and unless a miracle happens there will be no presents for any children this year.

Desperate to avoid disappointment for the kids, Francesca Spaghetti and her sister, Poppy Noodle, investigate. Shockingly, all clues point to…but, that can’t be!

He’s on the run from all manner of sea-faring folk and he’s after the riches contained in a treasure chest.It is Francesca Spaghetti and Poppy Noodle who use their magical powers and return the treasure chest to its rightful owner.This is the first book from children’s author Harald Davidson. It’s a good book that will appeal to many young readers.I think the two sisters are great role models too.
